It’s possible to target anyone who's ever visited your brand’s Instagram profile and/or interacted with your brand’s Instagram content, regardless of whether or not they follow your brand on Instagram. This audience also encompasses people who have chosen to follow your Instagram Business Profile.

In order to target this group of people, two requirements have to be met:

  1. The advertiser has to have the "Page Advertiser" Page Role of the brand's Facebook page. "How To" article included.
  2. The Instagram Business Profile of the brand must be linked to the brand's Facebook Page. "How To" article included.

If you have page advertiser access and the Facebook Page and Instagram Business profile are synced, you can then proceed by:

  1. Creating the Custom Audience in the Facebook Ads Manager interface
  2. Importing the Custom Audience into ToneDen

Step 1: Creating a Custom Audience of Fans who have interacted with the Instagram Business Profile of the brand

In the Audiences section of Facebook Ads Manager, create a custom audience made of fans who have interacted with the Instagram Business Profile of the brand. You can do this by clicking on “Create Audience,” followed by “Engagement,” followed by “Instagram Business Profile.” We recommend using the default settings and a length of 365 days.

Step 2: Importing the Custom Audience into ToneDen

Import that custom audience into ToneDen by pressing “Add New,” “Facebook," “Facebook Custom Audience," followed by selecting the audience name in the “Template Options” section.
